Hi I am Ellie! I am a photographer who values preservation. I respect family history and the stories photographs carry forward. My work is inspired by generations of scrapbooks and because of this, I value documenting life as it unfolds rather than directing it. I work to approach photography with care and curiosity, creating images that feel cinematic yet true to life. Each gallery is thoughtfully curated to reflect not just how a moment looked, but how it felt, becoming something my clients can return to for years to come.
My love for photography began long before I ever considered it a career. It started with my great grandma’s scrapbooks. I grew up flipping through their pages, studying the photographs they chose to keep, catching glimpses of who they were in their everyday lives. Those images made me feel connected to them across time. Family history has always mattered deeply to me, and those scrapbooks taught me how powerful it is to have something tangible to return to.
Alongside that love for history, I have always been fascinated by cameras. On family vacations, I was the one filling SD cards with photographs of everything around me. People, buildings, landscapes, small details. I wanted to remember it all. When I was fourteen, I saved my allowance so I could buy my first camera. By fifteen, I had photographed my first wedding, and I was completely hooked on the feeling of documenting something meaningful as it unfolded.
What continues to draw me to photography is its ability to be archival. I value photographs that tell the truth about a life as it was lived. My intention is to thoughtfully curate galleries that feel honest and complete, telling the story of my clients in a way that can be returned to years from now. I want my work to live on as part of someone’s history.
I photograph people in all seasons of life, and I love meeting new people through this work. I learn something from every person I photograph. I am especially drawn to those who are unapologetically themselves, who value meaning over perfection and presence over performance.
My approach is rooted in preservation. I create images that are cinematic, timeless, and true to life, with the hope that they will one day feel like the scrapbooks that inspired me in the first place.
